Week 3
This week all the songs I have chosen are sung by Sonu Nigam. The melody in his voice is unmatchable. I was really taken by surprise when I saw him doing mimicry of different singers, he was just awesome.
1. Usire Usire

This song has been sung by both Sonu Nigam as well as Rajesh Krishnan. Though during early days of this movie release I always liked the Rajesh Krishnan version just because of the pronunciation yet I always felt Rajesh Krishnan could never meet the melody touch which Sonu Nigam gave to this song.
2. Panchi nadiyan pawan ke jhoke

This is undoubtedly one of the beautiful songs sung by Sonu Nigam.
3. Tanhayee

Sonu has done a complete justice to the Lyrics by Javed Akhtar with his emotional singing taking the song to a level where we can only see a few of them in this modern era.1. Usire Usire

This is a song which was very frequently listened to when the movie was released. Its not listened to by me often now but then whenever I listen to this song my admiration for Sonu increases.
5. Mungaaru Maleye

Singers: - Sonu Nigam
Lyrics: - Yograj Bhat
Well the songs in this movie made a revolution in the Sandalwood Industry. This song is a perfect recipe. Thank to some good music, lyrics and singing.

I agree with Mungaru maLe... but not the panchi nadiyaan... my favorite is "Iss kadar pyar hai... tumse hai hamsafar" from one of his albums...
Good one ... but you've missed some nice songs like Piyu bole from Parineeta, Yeh Dil Deewana from Pardes, Ab mujhe Raat Din from his Album Deewana etc... Don't you think you need another episode for him? Well, I feel you need a couple more ...
As commented by adi.. if you are talking about sonu nigam it's his albums that are the best.. "Tu kab yeh jaanegi.. tu kab yeh maanegi.." We should be thankful to him for introducing bips :D my favourites are "Yeh dil.. Deewana..!!", "Har ghadi badal rahi hai..!!" and "Yeh chand teri chandini ki kasam.."
@ aDi:- Well May be it has been a long time you havent heard Panchi nadiyan song. You can go ahead and listen to it once more. I agree the songs in his album "Deewana" are all beauties but then I picked which I liked the most:-). That doesnt mean others are left behind. I just picked five.
@ Mugdha:- I will atleast pen down his songs for atleast 2-3 weeks. But not right now.
I believe that usire usire is realy awesome by sonu nigam ji.. I think it's realy more more better than rajesh krishnan.... But why that song sung by 2 singers?
